A Little Bit About Us

Neilsons has been providing legal services since it was founded by Terry Neilson in 1977.  We were one of the first Firms to make legal services accessible  by opening offices on a shop front basis rather than in an expensive elegant Georgian building; by speaking to clients on a friendly first name terms basis and by avoiding the use of legal terminology and jargon. 

That basic philosophy has led to the growth of the firm to the point where we are now one of the biggest Solicitor Estate Agents advertising in the Edinburgh Solicitors’ Property Centre while still retaining the friendly and informal relationship that has been the trademark of the firm since its inception.
