Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents are looking to recruit a full time Property Sales Receptionist to join our award winning property department at our Property Centre at 162 St John’s Road, Edinburgh.

The full-time role is an excellent opportunity to join one of Edinburgh’s top firms. Neilsons are the Scottish Firm of the Year 2025, the Residential Property Team of the Year 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025, and Scottish Agency of the Year 2022 and 2024.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls as the first point of contact for both client and buyer enquiries.
  • Assist with off-street enquiries.
  • Assist with incoming email enquiries.
  • Arranging viewings, liaising with both clients and viewers and uploading the information into our system.
  • Assisting with maintaining property displays and updating them when properties sell/new properties come on the market
  • Entering general data and notes into our Estate Agency system.
  • Other ad hoc general office admin work as and when required.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Ideally you will have property department experience already, though this is not essential as long as you have reception experience.
  • First class communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Professional and friendly phone manner.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent IT skills together with experience in using management software.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Good local area knowledge.
  • Friendly and helpful personality.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player.
  • Good time management.

Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents are looking to recruit a full-time Residential Conveyancing NQ Solicitor or Paralegal to join our growing Conveyancing team at 2a Picardy Place.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Paralegal to join one of Edinburgh’s top conveyancing firms.

Main duties and responsibilities involve:

  • Dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing.
  • Dealing with transactions in a prompt and efficient manner, providing an excellent service to clients, as part of a highly talented team involving solicitors, paralegals and administrative support staff.
  • Dealing with transactions right through to settlement in a friendly and supportive working environment.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Extensive conveyancing experience working in a similar role.
  • Highly organised person and process driven with good attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of business.
  • Proven ability to work to critical deadlines and effectively time manage workload.
  • IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office Suite – full training will be given on our bespoke Office systems.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Sales Administrator to join our Property Department’s pre-launch team. You’ll manage your own caseload of properties from instruction through to going live on the market, co-ordinating all pre-launch marketing material and liaising closely with clients throughout the process to ensure every property is presented and launched to the highest standard.

Key Duties

  • Arranging pre-sale appraisal appointments
  • Co-ordinating all pre-launch marketing material, including instructing Home Report surveys and photography appointments
  • Managing ID and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements for clients
  • Pulling together sales brochures
  • Sending draft marketing and legal documents to clients for approval
  • Putting properties live on the portals, including ESPC

About You

  • Ideally around two years’ experience in a similar administrative role within the local property profession, at an Estate Agent
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident liaising with clients and managing your own caseload
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused manner
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple properties at different stages simultaneously
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based systems

The full-time role is an excellent opportunity to join one of Edinburgh’s top firms. Neilsons are the Scottish Firm of the Year 2025, the Residential Property Team of the Year 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025, and Scottish Agency of the Year 2022 and 2024.

Ideally, we are looking for individuals with at least 1 years’ experience of working in a Solicitor Estate Agency.

Main duties and responsibilities involve:-

  • Answer incoming telephone calls as the first point of contact for client enquiries.
  • Assist with off-street enquiries.
  • Assist with incoming email enquiries and mail.
  • Maintain property displays and update them when properties sell/new properties come on the market
  • Assist solicitors with general correspondence and documents as required using dictation transcription equipment
  • File management, including storage and archiving
  • Office administration including petty cash, stationery, key logging, supplies
  • Assist solicitors with ID checks and law society compliance, as well as Anti-Money Laundering checks
  • Filing, scanning and photocopying
  • Any other ad hoc requirements as advised by the team

Essential Skills and Attributes:-

  • Highly organised and client driven with good attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work to critical deadlines and effectively time manage workload
  • IT and confident typing skills
  • Interest in conveyancing and the property market
  • Team player willing to go the extra mile
