Private Client Paralegal

Following our continued expansion, Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents are looking to recruit a full-time Private Client Paralegal who will join our growing Executry department at our City Centre office at 2A Picardy Place, Edinburgh. Remote working is also an option for the successful candidate.

The role is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Paralegal with at least 2 years’ experience to join one of Edinburgh’s top firms.

Main duties and responsibilities involve:-

  • Dealing with all aspects of private client work at the firm including executry administration.
  • Providing advice on Wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries.
  • Dealing with transactions in a prompt and efficient manner, providing an excellent service to clients, as part of a highly talented team.
  • Ability to recognise and develop business relationships.

Essential Skills and Attributes:-

  • 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Highly organised and process driven with good attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of business.
  • Proven ability to work to critical deadlines and effectively time manage workload.
  • IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office Suite – full training will be given on our systems.

Salary:  Commensurate with experience

Residential Property Solicitor 

Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents are looking to recruit a full-time Residential Property Solicitor with at least two years’ experience who will join our growing Residential Conveyancing department at 138 St Johns Road, although home working using our comprehensive case management system is obviously a major feature of our operations at present.

The role is an excellent opportunity for a residential conveyancing Solicitor to join one of Edinburgh’s top conveyancing firms.

Main duties and responsibilities involve:-

  • Dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchases and remortgages.
  • Dealing with transactions in a prompt and efficient manner, providing an excellent service to clients, as part of a highly talented team involving solicitors, paralegals and administrative support staff.
  • Dealing with transactions right through to settlement in a friendly and supportive working environment (although the support staff handle all the ID, SoF, accounting and title registration work for you).
  • Ability to secure new business from prospective clients.

Essential Skills and Attributes:-

  • Scottish Qualified Solicitor.
  • Extensive conveyancing experience working in a similar role with at least two years’ experience.
  • Highly organised and process driven with good attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of business.
  • Proven ability to work to critical deadlines and effectively time manage workload.
  • Evidence of securing business from prospective clients. Examples of reviews or testimonials would be advantageous.
  • IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office Suite – full training will be given on our bespoke Office systems.

Property Sales Negotiator

Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents are looking to recruit a full time Sales Negotiator to join our successful property sales team at 142 St John’s Road, Corstorphine, Edinburgh, EH12 8AY.

Key roles and responsibilities:

This is a key position and the successful candidate must have a highly professional work ethic, with energy and enthusiasm in dealing with client care.

You will be required to negotiate sales of residential properties and offer client care and discussion relating to existing properties on the market.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Property Services.

This is a key position within the property department and the successful candidate must:-

  • Have relevant experience of working in an Estate Agency/property environment (minimum one year), preferably in a similar role.
  • Be highly motivated and capable of working under pressure.
  • Have an excellent and professional phone manner as you will be speaking with clients and purchasing Solicitors on a daily basis, representing the firm.
  • Have excellent time-keeping skills and experience in meeting deadlines.
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Be a confident user of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc).
  • Be confident using web-based computer systems.
  • Have a keen eye for detail when data inputting.
  • Be enthusiastic and keen to learn.

Full training will be provided and you will have every opportunity to develop your role at Neilsons.

Salary: Dependant on experience.
